Does he not look like Christopher Lloyd from Back To The Future?

Was that your first car?

Hello Family,
Wanted to share some photos from the Mopar Mile High NHRA Nationals on Saturday. Davis and I had a great time, and enjoyed the full day. We got there around 10am and left close to 5:30pm. It was a "long" day for us because it was 92 degrees out, and Davis and I are not used to real heat. Even though the "big events" of the Top Fuel did not start until 3:30, we enjoyed watching the beginning of the day pro-stock and super-stock races since they are cars you can buy.

It was crazy when the top fuel guys came out. The noise, and feeling of it on your chest was great. The fastest went 316mph. Also on display were a lot of Dodge Hellcats (that's them lined up in the parking lot), and they did a demo of a Hellcat vs. a 1970s (do not remember exact year) Challenger with the big engine. We ended up not using the scanners, because the PA system they had was great. We did need for the Top Fuel the ear plugs. One the neatest things we saw was like a Zamboni for ice, they had that John Deer tractor with rubber tires for laying a fresh layer a rubber and to pick up some debris on the track.

We had a great evening in Denver after, of dinner and then bar hopping until about 2am before calling it a night. Yesterday, we went to REI which is an outdoor store for some items Davis wanted and then meet some of his old HS friends for lunch before coming home.

Hope all is well! Love you!

Mt. Sherman Climb
National Forest land in Fairplay, CO
I just wanted to share some photos of the over-night camping and Mt. Sherman climb Davis and I did this week. We camped in National Forest land in Fairplay, CO which was 40 minutes away from Breckenridge. We had a nice evening of relaxing, grilling and enjoying a campfire. It was neat since we were by a creek with high beaver dam activity. On Sunday we packed up our campsite early to meet 2 of Davis's co-workers up the road to where the Mt. Sherman trail head was. Mt. Sherman is one of the 52 14,000ft peaks we have here in CO. It is considered on of the "easiest" due to its accessibility. It is a 5 mile hike about round trip, but does include over 2,000ft of vertical - meaning you are hiking up practically the whole way. Luckily the weather was on our side for the most part since it was a beautiful sunny day but the wind once we hit 12,000+ ft was insane. The couple we were with (who are pictured in the one photo) actually did not proceed once we hit this wind and turned back. Davis and I continued though, and it was an experience to say the least - I felt like if I turned/moved wrong the wind would literally blow me right off. We did reach the summit which is 14,026ft, and the view was incredible. After all, this is practically in our backyard.

Hope all is well.

... only one question, who the hell is Davis?
And is he G6 Approved?
You know we don't just let anybody in. LOL

Hello All!
So here are some photos from my past weekend in Southwest CO. Unfortunately, the rally itself was a let down but the surrounding area provided some breathtaking riding. I enjoyed going to Silverton, riding the million dollar highway to Ouray, and enjoying the little town of Ouray. It really is such a beautiful part of the country. I hope all is well. Love and miss you!
